Feeding Preparation:

Always mix fresh before each feed

• Do not re-use or refrigerate pre-mixed formula.
• Do not microwave—it can create hot spots and cause crop burns.
• Always use a fork to mix thoroughly. Do not use a spoon.

Feeding Methods:

• Neonate / Transition Feeding:
  Start with a runny mixture:

  • 2 small level scoops of Neocare.
  • 1 large scoop + 1 small scoop of boiling water.
  • Mix with a fork for 30 seconds. Ensure smooth consistency with no lumps.
  • Gradually thicken over 48 hours.

• Regular Feeding:

  • 1 large level scoop of Neocare.
  • 1 large scoop of boiling water.
  • Mix for 30 seconds.
  • Add 3 small scoops of cool water and mix for 2 minutes.
  • Ensure smooth consistency with no lumps.

Temperature should be between 38-41°C to avoid crop burns and indigestion.

Feeding Frequency:

• The first feed of the day should be 5-6am.
• The last feed should be 10-11pm.
• Daily weight tracking is crucial—research species-specific requirements.
